YOGA
Mon Bijou Community Center will be offering free beginner yoga classes on Saturday mornings from 10-11 am. Guided by yoga enthusiast, Aja Barretto, this class is intended to promote healthful living and inner peace.
Yoga is a science of right living. It works on all aspects of the person: the physical, mental, emotional, psychic and spiritual.
It is intended balance the mind, body, and the spirit. The various styles of yoga that people use for health purposes typically combine physical postures, breathing techniques, and meditation. The conscious mental process using certain techniques—such as focusing attention or maintaining a specific posture—to suspend the stream of thoughts will relax the body and mind. Come join us for this rewarding and restorative experience.
